excursions pt 1

the hku iro office conducted a 2 days city tour last weekend for all exchange students to quite a number of places of interests...had to gather at like 845 am in sch in the morning...and as usual...i was late, just couldnt wake up on time. actually i have been like a pig since i reached here siaz..sleeping really a lot and woke up late for lessons...this cannot continue man..okok.back to last weekend. visited these places on sat: the yuen po street bird garden, the wetland park, the wong tai sin temple, the chi lin nunnery & nan lin garden and the hk history museum....

i personally like the visit to the nan lin garden n the chi lin nunnery..coz its such a beautiful place..the structures are so nice and the surroundings so serene..actually in hk, because of the super high density...everywhere you go u just see pple n pple n pple...super crowded lah tt i a bit buay tahan..so i kinda like this place coz its an escape from the over crowded city area siaz...then the visit to the wetland park...its a man-made park actually, trying to recreate a nature environment to educate the young in HK coz they have not much chance to get near to nature. a pity tt it rain so couldnt walk around the whole park...

oh ya!!! i saw the first hk celebrity here..hahahaa..called pui pui (in chinese is bei bei)...its actually a crocodile lah..and i am quite amazed that they treat the crocodile like the star or queen of the park or even the city...coz they say tt is the only crocodile they had seen in the whole of hk...wow..ok..anyway its only a 2m long crocodile..i think i have seen larger ones in thailand b4..so not really very amazing to me..haha...

the tour guide on my bus is very nice, told us a lot of stories abt hk, ranging from the history to the culture..but she seems like a lecturer to me siaz..coz the moment someone at the back of the bus talks, she will tell them to keep quiet and listen to her..first time i see tour guide doing such things..hahaah..asking tourists to keep quiet n listen to her talk..but anyway she gave us some brief history of the return of hk to china in 1997..and this was triggered by due to the return of new territories which was leased to british for 99 years for defence purpose...and also told us abt the opium war..quite a fun trip i must say...though a bit tiring coz walk a lot...

i dunno why they show the arctic here siaz
hk celeb...damn lame can!!!
